On 13 June 2019, Asia Group Advisors hosted an information session for friends and partners. We focused on the aftermath of the Malaysian elections and the implications for business, regulation and engagement in Mahathir’s Malaysia.

Senior Advisor Mohamed Nawab Bin Mohamed Osman commented on the possibility of Dr Mahathir attempting to balance himself between the US and China, by keeping both powers equidistant. Additionally, Dr Mahathir will try to set up the best scenario for his successors within two years.
